Senior Consultant - Contract Position

Third Sky is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our West Region team on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead customers through the solution implementation process
- Assist customers with business process design and advise customers of best practices
- Facilitate and document Requirements Definition and Design sessions
- Implement (including configuring and customizing) packaged enterprise software applications
- Build integrations and migrate data between systems
- Conduct unit and system testing
- Support user testing
- Deliver application and process training
- Perform go-live and post production support.
- Provide project management skills to client engagements
- Support the sales process through participation in client discovery sessions
Requirements
- ITIL v2 Service Manager (ITIL v3 Expert certification preferred) or at minimum Practitioner
- 8+ years of experience either in a consulting capacity or as internal project team drivers/leaders, with IT Service Management (ITSM) process modeling, definition and improvement efforts, especially dealing with processes like:
- Service Level Management
- Change Management
- Release Management
- Configuration Management
- 8+ years experience implementing ITIL® / ITSM or Help Desk software packages, with the technical skills associated with installing, configuring and customizing these packages
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
- 8+ years experience managing your own projects and interacting directly with customers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interest in learning new technologies and industry best practices
- Can-do attitude
Definite Pluses
- Experience with FrontRange HEAT or ITSM, TouchPaper ITBM, Axios, iET Solutions, Remedy, or HP OpenView Service Desk
- Experience in a small company or start-up environment, especially a virtual environment
