ITSM/ITIL Trainer
Third Sky, Inc. is a San Francisco based IT Service Management provider with offices across the country. Third Sky specializes in the assessment, planning, and implementation of ITIL / ITSM solutions that
enable IT organizations to deliver higher levels of service at lower costs. Third Sky provides a comprehensive set of IT Service Management solutions
addressing people, process, and technology issues for medium to large enterprises.
Overview and Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for the delivery of ITSM and ITIL® related Education. Candidates for this position must
possess a Managers Certification in IT Service Management (ITIL). Candidate must be willing to travel up to 85%.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Training Delivery
- Maintain pass rates equal to or higher than industry standards
- Maintain 4.5 out of 5 on customer satisfaction surveys
- Communicate, as needed, with onsite client contacts prior to class to identify clients’ desired outcomes
- Communicate, as needed, with students (e.g. Post-class follow-up and review sessions)
- Contribution to the continual improvement of course materials, presentations and activities
Administration
- Timely submittal of expenses, time entry, class rosters and student evaluations
- Maintain and contribute to various class reports
Sales and Marketing Support
- Support Business Development Managers on client calls
- Assist Business Development in drafting training responses
- Author whitepapers on ITSM topics
- Create and lead web seminars
- Speak at industry conferences and events
Requirements:
- Managers Certificate in ITSM (ITIL V2) and/or V3 ITIL Expert Certification
- 3 or more years demonstrated experience delivering instructor-led classroom training
- 4 or more years practical ITSM/ITIL experience
- Solid knowledge of current trends in IT Service Management
- Ability to work independently exhibiting excellent time management skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite, specifically Power Point, Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentational skills
- Willingness to travel
Desirable but not required:
- Experience with IT governance i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley compliance projects/audits
- Experience with one or more Service Management tools, such as FrontRange Heat & ITSM, Service-Now.com, iET, Remedy, Magic, etc.
- Working knowledge and/or certification in other frameworks and good practices (e.g. CobiT, CMMI, Project Management, ISO/IEC 20000, etc)
- Consulting experience
- Experience in the local or national speaking circuit
- Curriculum development experience
- Active participation in professional Service Management associations
Location
- Must live in North America near a major airport

- Base salary plus revenue/performance based bonus
